Tom Bolen Named Boys Baseball Coach

Notre Dame Regional High School is proud to announce Tom Bolen as the new head coach of the baseball program.

A lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau and Jackson, Bolen is a 1994 graduate of Cape Central High School, and has a degree from Lindenwood University. He currently serves as a city letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and President of NALC Local 1015.

Bolen brings a wealth of baseball experience, having served as JV coach at Lindenwood University, and as the assistant coach for the Capahas for 12 years and head coach for seven years. He has also coached various local baseball organizations and served in many varying volunteer roles at St. Mary Cathedral School and Notre Dame Regional High School.

He is a member of both the Cape Central Hall of Fame and the National Semi-Pro Baseball Hall of Fame.

“I could not be more excited for Tom to take the reins of our baseball program,” said Notre Dame Athletic Director Jeff Graviett. “You cannot talk baseball in southeast Missouri without talking about the Bolen family. Tom has a tremendous baseball background and is a great fit for ND.”

Bolen and his wife Nicole, who teaches at St. Mary Cathedral School, have three children: TJ (18), Ty (12), Annette (10), and are expecting their fourth child in January.

“Notre Dame has a rich history of excellence in the classroom and on the ball diamond,” said Bolen. “Notre Dame equips young men and women to be prepared for beyond high school in academics, athletics, and most importantly as apostles.

The baseball team alone has been to state 12 times and has secured five state titles. We look forward to being part of a strong faith-led environment and look forward to competing with area schools.”
