Notre Dame’s Student of the Month program is shining a spotlight on Apostolic Leadership—recognizing students who live out service, charity, piety, faithfulness, leadership and humility in their daily lives. We are proud to celebrate these students for the many ways they bring our mission to life through their actions!
Eli Cook was recognized for his reverence and leadership while in the Chapel. Before praying the Rosary, he quietly asked to discard his gum without being reminded by his teacher. This simple action prompted the entire class to follow his example.
Victoria Avila Henao & Martina Ressel were nominated by a community member for their dedication as Pickleball Buddies to an athlete with Down syndrome through Buddy Up for Life. Despite the demands of cross country season, both students consistently showed patience, friendship, and Christ-like service, making pickleball nights a highlight for the athlete they support.
Tessa Tornetto was nominated for her kindness and initiative after noticing a classmate feeling overwhelmed. She offered to help organize their papers, sorting assignments by chapter, hole-punching and labeling them, and helping set up organized binders.
Brian Zarate was nominated for stepping in without hesitation to help a classmate who dropped several trash bag boxes in the parking lot. He took the heaviest boxes himself and carried them across the lot to help load the car.
Tate Coalter was nominated for offering thoughtful encouragement to a classmate who was nervous about presenting, helping them overcome their fears and deliver an excellent presentation.
Sterling Pfeiffer was nominated for generously helping multiple students carry their trash bag cases and bags out of Drury Hall during pick-up.
Aidrien Prasanphanich was nominated for his patience and support in helping a brand-new wrestler, taking extra time during practices to guide him and ensure he understood each step.
Thank you to The Bank of Missouri for sponsoring our Student of the Month program.
