Notre Dame Regional High School To Launch Football Program

Notre Dame Regional High School is excited to announce the launch of a football program, marking an exciting new chapter in the school’s strong tradition of athletic excellence.

The program will begin with the formation of a junior varsity team in the fall of 2027, followed by a varsity team in the fall of 2028. To provide additional student opportunities, Notre Dame will also establish a marching band by 2028.

“This is an exciting time for Notre Dame,” said Athletic Director Jeff Graviett. “Adding football to our already outstanding athletic program will bring new energy to campus and create more opportunities for student involvement.”

“The addition of football and band programs marks an exciting new era for Notre Dame Regional High School,” said President Tim Garner. “We’re creating even more opportunities for students to receive an outstanding faith-based education while pursuing their passions. Combined with our esports team, competitive cheer and FFA programs, Notre Dame continues to grow as a place where students from southeast Missouri and southern Illinois can learn, compete and thrive.”

Notre Dame Regional High School has a proud history of excellence both in academics and athletics, with 22 sports and 19 team state championships. The addition of football reflects the school’s continued commitment to expanding opportunities for students to grow in leadership, teamwork and faith.

Notre Dame is now accepting applications for a head football coach to lead this exciting new program. Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to Athletic Director Jeff Graviett at jeffgraviett@notredamecape.org.
