In her free time, senior and Hi-Lites staff member Ava Poe enjoys work and hanging out with friends, but this year she will also be a part of the journalism program at Notre Dame High School. 

“I joined journalism to be able to have a  creative outlet and because I was excited to cover all things Notre Dame,” said Poe.

Ava also said she is especially looking forward to covering sports and interviewing players for Notre Dame throughout the year. 

Ava has already written multiple stories for the school website this year and looks forward to writing more this year.
