Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced high school bus driver to transport students, teachers and staff to and from various school events. The successful candidate will ensure the safety of passengers and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a school bus and transport passengers to and from school events, including sports games, field trips, and other extracurricular activities.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the school bus to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
    Follow established routes and schedules, while ensuring timely arrival and departure at all event locations.
  • Maintain order and discipline on the bus and ensure that all passengers follow the school’s rules and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with school administrators, teachers, parents, and students to provide updates on schedules, changes, and any other relevant information.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date on best practices, rules, and regulations related to school bus transportation.

Qualifications

    • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement and a clean driving record.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least two years of experience as a school bus driver or similar role.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
    • Ability to read and understand road maps and follow established routes and schedules.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs and maneuver in and out of the bus.
  • Ability to see and hear clearly, including the ability to distinguish colors and judge distances.

Part Time Custodian

Notre Dame Regional High School is seeking a dedicated individual to join our custodial team. The custodian is responsible for the daily, routine maintenance that keeps the building hygienic. This part time position is for afternoon and early evening hours.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must complete background check and certification.
  • Demonstrated work history reflecting stability and reliability
  • Ability to work around dust and cleaning chemicals
  • Demonstrated ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines, high speed buffers, and carpet extractor
  • Ability to move heavy items (desks, file cabinets, recycle bins) and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations
  • Ability to work from stepladders up to 14 feet with or without accommodations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure
  • Ability to follow written & verbal instructions & perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, and climb frequently and for extended periods of time while performing job duties
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
