Bonnie Mahnke has been a member of the Home and School Association at Notre Dame Regional High School since 2021. She has served as the Vice President, and currently holds the position of President for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Bonnie is married to Marc Mahnke and is the proud parent of Jacob Mahnke, who is set to graduate from Notre Dame in May 2025. As an alumna of Notre Dame Regional High School, Bonnie has a strong connection to the school and is passionate about ensuring the success and well-being of its students.

One of Bonnie’s favorite aspects of being involved in the Home and School Association is attending meetings and connecting with fellow parents at Notre Dame. She values the sense of community and collaboration that comes from working together to support the school and its students.

With her experience, dedication, and love for Notre Dame Regional High School, Bonnie Mahnke is committed to making a positive impact as President of the Home and School Association. She looks forward to continuing to build relationships with parents, staff, and students to create a thriving and supportive school community.

Heather and her husband Rob (’91) have three children: Hannah (’19), Will (’23) and Joe (’27). Dodson has been a member of the Notre Dame Home and School Association since 2015, previously holding the position of secretary.

Her favorite activities of the Home and School Association are writing thank you notes for teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, filling treat bags for finals support for students, and service projects the board is involved in, with her favorite being filling toiletry bags for those in need. She says she enjoys getting to know the families of students through her work in the Home & School Association, and enjoys being part of an organization in which the Notre Dame administration feels it can lean on to truly be a bridge between the school family and the home family.

Rita Henson is serving on the Home & School Board for the 2024-2025 school year as secretary. She has been a proud member of the board for three years, and loves to stay connected to Notre Dame. Her favorite activity hosted by Home & School is student appreciation donut day for each class, as she enjoys seeing the excitement on students’ faces.

Rita has two students attending Notre Dame this year: Evan is a senior and Abby is a freshman.

Jamie Shaffar and her husband Kyle are both 1997 graduates of Notre Dame High School. Shaffar has three children, Ella (’23), Mya (’25) and Eli (’27). She has been part of the Home & School Association since 2020, serving has vice president for two years and president for two years. She has been the 10/10 coordinator for Notre Dame since 2019.

In addition to her work with Home & School, Shaffar is involved in the Notre Dame Booster Club, Performing & Visual Arts fundraisers, Activity Week counting room, project prom and more. She says she loves volunteering at Notre Dame, and loves the staff, faculty and students. Her favorite thing to do with Home & School is any time she gets to be in the building to help make the day just a little better for students and staff with treats, donut mornings or teacher appreciation days. She also enjoys meeting new families to Notre Dame.
