F.A.C.S. has busy week

Students in the Family and Consumer Science Department have been busy! The Life Skills class showed off their new sewing skills by making pillowcases with personal touches!

Foods classes competed in the annual Pie Contest. Groups of students made pumpkin, pecan, apple, cherry, and mixed berry, learning how to mix and roll out the crust as well as adding cutout designs, braids and other creative touches. Expert faculty judges tested all the pies and judged on taste and presentation. The winning pies and bakers are shown below.

FCCLA Club sponsored a pancake breakfast for students and faculty. Club members arrived early to decorate, make coffee and prepare the batter. Students were given choice of pumpkin, plain, chocolate chip, or blueberry pancakes. They were delicious!
