Your guide to everything happening at ND over the Summer.

Main Office Hours

  • Main office hours beginning June 4 - August 1 will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. > MONDAY-THURSDAY -- closed on Fridays

  • Main office hours beginning August 5 will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • Main office will be CLOSED July 1 through July 5.

  • Tuition payments and other correspondence may be mailed throughout the summer.

  • Faculty members are not available on a regular basis during the summer. Email and voicemail will be checked occasionally.

Guidance Office

  • Beginning May 29, the Guidance Office will be open on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

  • Transcripts will be mailed on June 12.

Report Cards

Unless there is an outstanding debt (textbook, tuition, lunch balance, etc.), your student’s report card will be mailed to you by June 7. If you do not receive a report card, you should receive a note of explanation. 

Tuition Contracts 2019-20

The Tuition Contracts for 2019-20 have been mailed.  If you have not received one, please contact our bookkeeper, Mrs. Jo Ann Barrett, or 573-­335-6772 ext. 314. You can download the form from our website.

Please send in your tuition contract for the upcoming year BY JUNE 30. If you have contracted to pay your tuition in twelve monthly payments, please send the June and July payments as scheduled. You can also pay tuition online.

Summer Reading Program

The Notre Dame Communication Arts Department and the Media Center have instituted a summer reading program for all grade levels. The purpose of this program is to encourage reading, not just for its academic and learning benefits, but to help students discover that reading can be a meaningful and pleasurable activity. SYNC Free audiobooks

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens.  SYNC will give away two complete audiobook downloads a week – pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes.  Sign up for email or text alerts and be first to know when new titles are available to download at

Agility & Weight Training

Open to ALL ND students including INCOMING FRESHMAN. Monday, June 23 - Friday, July 26 with no sessions the week of July 1-5. Cost is $25.

Physical Clinics

July 10, 2019 at NDHS

Girls' clinic will be 9:00am-12 noon  
Boys' clinic will be 1:00-3:30pm  
(However, an exam can be obtained by either gender in both time slots). 

If you plan to attend the clinic, please complete page (1) of the MSHSAA Physical Form (see below). Bring that to the clinic.  We will have additional copies available but it is helpful to complete the History information before your student arrives. Junior High students are also welcome.

Cost - $20 fee will benefit ND Booster Club.  

These physicals are provided through the generous services the Southeast Missouri State University Family Nurse Practitioner Program faculty and students. Thank you!

Physical Forms and MSHSAA Information

Athletic "Dead Period" and Fall Sports Tryouts

Saturday, August 3 through August 11 is Athletic Dead Week.  Per MSHSAA guidelines, students are not to utilize the school facilities including the track, outdoor fields, gym, or weight room and are to have no contact with coaches. Tryouts begin August 12. Please contact individual coaches for times.

School Uniform Guide

Shopping for uniforms this summer? There are a few significant changes to our dress code for the 2019-20 school year.

  • ND hoodies are allowed! (Previously banned)
  • Every Friday, ND T-shirts are allowed.
  • Dress-up on Mass days are required.
  • No dress code exceptions for "game days" for athletes.

Please refer to the Uniform Guide in the Student/Parent Handbook before shopping.  

Our local vendors are ready to help you with your uniform needs.  C.S. Printing, Guy’s (Big & Tall) Uniforms, and Horizon Screen Printing are approved vendors.

Summer Mission Trip and Kairos

Please keep the students and faculty attending these in your prayers.

ACT Prep Classes

Mrs. Layton will be offering ACT Prep Classes before the June and July ACT tests.

Class for the June test is Thursday, May 30 from 10 AM-Noon.
Class for the July test is Thursday, July 11 from 10 AM-Noon.

Both classes will be held in Rm. 404. Cost is $40. Email Mrs. Layton ( to sign up!

Class of 2020 - Lock-In Information and Yearbook Photos for SENIORS

Lock-In Meetings

Seniors ONLY meet in cafetorium: June 3, July 8, and August 5 at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Seniors, your attendance at all summer planning meetings is preferred, but attendance of at least one summer meeting is required to help at the Lock-­In. In addition to the summer meetings, seniors will have a MANDATORY meeting after school on Thursday, Aug. 22. If you cannot attend a summer meeting, you must call one of the following:

Procedure for Senior Yearbook Photos

Senior photos for the yearbook will be taken at Notre Dame on Senior Book Distribution Day, Tuesday, Aug. 6.

  • Boys will wear a black or navy suit coat, white dress shirt, and a tie. Boys must be clean-shaven! Students may wear their own clothing or Cheekwood will provide proper attire.
  • Girls will wear a modest black shirt or dress, or will be provided a black shirt from Cheekwood. Girls may wear their choice of jewelry. No scarves will be allowed.
  • This photo in formal attire will also be the seniors’ school ID photo.

If a senior is unable to have his/her photo taken on Senior Book Day, the photo may also be taken on Junior or Sophomore Book Distribution days, Aug. 7  and 8, respectively. Senior photos cannot be taken during Freshman Orientation Days. Every senior must have his/her yearbook and student ID photo taken by Cheekwood. Questions? Advanced English I and II Required Summer Reading

Incoming freshmen taking Advanced English I must read The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and all sophomores in Advanced English II must read Of Mice and Men before school starts. 

National Honor Society Application

As an applicant for membership in the National Honor Society, you must fill out the above application.  Please return the form and your letter of recommendation to the NHS Box located in the main office at Notre Dame by NOON on Thursday, July 11, 2019.  Late applications will NOT be accepted!    

Requirements for entrance and procedure for acceptance into the Anthony Rubich Chapter #13337 of Notre Dame Regional High School:
1. A student must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to be considered for membership.
2. Eligible students must fill out an application citing evidence of their achievement in the areas of leadership, service, and character.
3. After considering eligibility and student applications, faculty will evaluate the categories of leadership, service, and character.
4. A Faculty Council will review the evaluations and to confirm selection of the new Honor Society members.
5. A letter will be sent in the mail several days prior to inductions indicating acceptance status.
