Performing and Visual Arts Hall of Fame Inductees

Michael Ansberry, 2015 -- ND 1973; Part of the ND band for four years, preformed in the school musicals and then played "in the pit" for many more. He went on the SEMO while working at Shivelbines and helped local artists as a musical instrument technician. He received his Masters from North Texas State University and completed his residency for the doctoral program. Very active in and around Nashville at Opryland USA. He has played with many greats: George (Goober) Lindsey, Porter Wagner, Jeanie Seeley and Brenda Lee. He continues repairing many instruments and is very active in his parish music ministry.



Alan Bruns, 2017 -- ND 1986; Received honors for Vocal performance as a student at ND, performed with All-District and All-State Choirs and acheived "exemplary" ratings for solo and ensemble performance.  Alan preformed in four musicals as a student. He earned a music scholarship to Southeast Missouri State and was a member of the University Choir.  He was named to the All-Collegiate Choir before graduating with his degree in Music Education.  Alan taught junior high and high school music and continues to share his talents as a cantor and choir member at St. Vincent and as a member of the Choral Union at Southeast Missouri State.




Matthew Buttrey, 2015  -- 
ND 1995; Notre Dame Theatre, music, chorus, and set construction was a part of Matt's four years at Notre Dame.  He attended SEMO Theatre briefly and now is finishing a degree at SEMO. Matt has national skating honors and toured with Disney on Ice since 1997. He returns to ND as a guest speaker any time he is close enough to Cape Girardeau.





Dr. Dan Cotner, 2014  
Performed in our orchestra for all but four of our 49 Broadway Musicals; Performed in the Cape Girardeau Municipal Band since 1940; Doctor of Dentistry since 1949; Participated in Dental Volunteer Trips since 1968; member of the Jerry Ford Orchestra, Dixieland Band and German Band.






Liesl Schoenberger Doty, 2014 -- 
ND 2002; Violinist/Fiddler; Bachelor & Master of Music, University of Indiana in Bloomington; Artsit Diploma from Yale as a student of Ani Kavafian; Candidate in the Doctor of Musical Arts Program at New England Conservatory in Boston and the teaching assistant to Lucy Chapman in Boston.





Sister Rosel Feder, SSND 2015 --
 Best known for her time at Notre Dame on Ritter Dr; She composed the Notre Dame alma mater. Her enthusiasm working with our school productions has carried forward with the intensity our students display in making the "ND Musical" at the level we have come to enjoy throughout the 50 plus years of performances.





Jon Greenwood, 2016 -- 
ND 1985; Entertainment & Technology Executive; Los Angeles Business Journal's 2015 CIO of the Year Award; SVP of Global Business &IT Systems at Live Nation Entertainment; past Executive Director of Music for the Temecula International Film &Music Festival; performer at House of Blues in Hollywood.






Jean Hermsdorfer, 2016 --
ND 1976; Attended Southeast Missouri State University: Performer, Notre Dame Faculty Follies; ND Musical Makeup Crew Coordinator and Program Producer; ND Office Manager; Sweet Adelines; St. Mary Cathedral Choir and Cantor.






Jim Keusenkothen, 2017 -- 
ND 1986; Jim assisted with sound during the ND musicals as a student.  During his junior year, he helped form the band, Horizon, playing lead guitar and as vocalist. They continued performing for 20 years after graduation. Jim continues to volunteer sound assistance and equipment for ND, as well as other community and parish events.  He recently developed a contemporary Christian Music Group with his children, leading Praise and Worship and spreading the joy of the Catholic Faith.

Justin Moore, 2016 -- 
ND 2004; BS in Vocal Music Education and Performance, Southeast Missouri State University; MA in Vocal Performance, Longy School of Music of Bard College; private studio in Newton Centre; instructor in the Greater Boston Area; studies with Ms. Carol Mastrodomenico.






Tom Neumeyer, 2015 -- 
ND 1968; Tom has his photography studio in the downtown area of Cape Girardeau, but he is well known through his works all over this part of the heartland. You have seen his work in professional settings for families, displays of our community and leaving his footprint on special events to remember.






Ben Pierce, 2017 -- 
ND 2002; Ben was a gifted artist as a student at ND. After serving four years in the Navy, Ben earned Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with Sculpture emphasis from Southeast Missouri State.  He was part of Cape's first sculpture exhibit and his work can be seen throughout downtown Cape.  He has been featured in several magazines.  





Norval Randol, 2015 -- 
A well-known trumpet with the Notre Dame Orchestra since the 70's as well as other community orchestras. He stared his career in music with the lines of the Bill Brandt Orchestra at the Purple Crackle, backup for Bobby Vinton, Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Ed Shaunessey, The Rat Pack and others. He has honored our military with playing taps for military funerals and has been associated with local greats like Dr. Dan Cotner and Jerry Ford. He has served his community in many ways, but especially with his music.




Mike Renick, 2016 -- 
ND 1996; BS in Communications, Southeast Missouri State University; On Air Personality and Operations Manager of the River Radio- Cape; Singer-Songwriter and Recording Artist; Mike Renick Band.






Bill Schlitt, 2014 -- 
ND 1973; Graduate, Southeast Missouri State University - Vocal and Instrumental; MMed from University of Oklahoma; Co- Artistic Director/Performer and Host of The Sound of Charleston.







Roger Seyer, 2014 -- 
ND 1985; Graduate, Millikin University; Broadway: Miss Saigon, Les Miserables; National Tour: Les Miserables, Mama Mia; Regional Theatre in various locations







Mike Sullivan, 2014 -- 
ND 1975; Degree in Theater, Southeast Missouri State University; MA, St. Louis University; MBA, Fontbonne University; Currently Assistant Professor Performing Arts and Technical Director at Fontbonne University.
