Juniors:  if you are interested in attending Southeast Hospital College of Nursing for the 2009 school year (your freshman year), then you need to apply now.  The program is already filling up and may be full by your senior year.  Call Southeast Hospital College of Nursing at 334-6825 or see Mrs. Garner for more information.  Sophomores:  If you plan on taking the PSAT on October 17th, you must pay your $13.00 to Mrs. Meadows no later than Friday, October 12th.
Juniors:  Don’t forget to check out the Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University!  Dates are June 7-29, 2008. Three weeks of academic and enrichment experience at MSU Six hours of tuition-free, transferable university credit Six additional tuition-free credit hours during the student’s senior year Guaranteed four-year housing scholarship to Murray State University Collaboration with other honor students and outstanding university and secondary faculty in a campus living-learning environment No cost to students except transportation to and from campus and spending money During the week, students take two classes a day, spending about 5 hours per day in the classroom or on short field excursions.  One day per week is devoted to an all-day co-curricular activity, such as a field trip for biological research or a trip to an opera and art museum.  On weekends and during the evenings, students attend concerts, lectures, and performances, engage in extracurricular games, service activities, and talent shows, and participate in personal development forums and seminars.   Check out www.murraystate.edu/cha for more info!
